The Best Homemade Chocolate Recipe (dairy free, sugar free!)
Studying to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Functional Diagnostic Nutritional Practitioner has opened my eyes so much to the power of a whole food, nutrient dense diet more than I could ever imagine. One of the biggest game changers for me came when I started making a conscious effort to get more (healthy) fats into my diet.Since I've always been a chocolate gal - I love experimenting with new chocolate recipes that satisfy my chocolate craving (and my sweet tooth). The recipe that I came up with is sugar free, dairy free, gluten free and DELISH! First of all I just want to say that Eating Evolved is one of my FAVORITE chocolate companies. They make amazing chocolate that is made from super clean ingredients! In this recipe I use their 100% Midnight Coconut Dark Chocolate which I am obsessed with (although it is super bitter if you eat it plain!)
Dark Chocolate Coconut Love Bombs
Ingredients/Supplies:
- 1 Bar of Eating Evolved Organic Midnight Coconut Chocolate
- 4 TBSP of Nutiva Coconut Manna (Coconut butter)
- 5-10 drops of Stevia Glycerite
- Mini Muffin Silicon Tray
- Optional toppings: unsweetened coconut shreds, hemp seeds, slivered almonds, raisins etc.
Method:
- Melt Chocolate on stove on low eat, stirring occasionally (make sure not to burn!)
- Add in coconut butter and stir until fully mixed and melted
- Add in stevia drops to taste
- Once combined, transfer into spoonfuls into mini muffin tray and top with whatever you'd like!
- Freeze for 1 hour before enjoying.
*Keep in freezer to ensure these don't melt. This should make 9-12 pieces of chocolate depending on how big you make each piece.*affiliate disclosure: I am a part of the amazon affiliate program & the equipfoods affiliate program meaning that i do receive a small commission from the sale of the products linked above.
